Have you been surprised by city-approved changes to your neighborhood?  New construction, demolition, zoning variances, liquor licenses, and late-night opening hours: all must be approved by our city government. In almost all cases, public hearings are required. Unfortunately, these hearings are rarely widely publicized, often leaving neighbors to learn what has been approved only after the fact.
